Committed To Safety, Offering More Than Just Security Doors

ORNAMENTAL IRON COMPANY CREATES POOL FENCES THAT ARE BOTH STUNNING AND SAFE

National Drowning Prevention AssociationGilbert, AZ (April 3, 2012) – Spring is upon us and for the Valley of the Sun, that means many kids will be splashing in the pool!  The warm summertime afternoons make a cool pool a very dangerous temptation for young ones.  According to the U.S. Lifesaving Association, drowning is the third leading cause of unintentional death in the United States, and the second leading cause of death for people ages 5 to 44. For children ages 1 to 2, drowning is the leading cause of injury or death. According to that study, 77 percent of the children who drowned had been seen 5 minutes or less before being missed and subsequently discovered in the pool. Supervision is always your primary layer of protection, but as the study shows, 69 percent of the drowning incidents occurred when parental supervision failed and there were no other “backup layers” in use.  First Impression is committed to the safety of the consumer.  This is why they have partnered with the National Drowning Prevention Alliance and the Drowning Prevention Coalition of Arizona.   “These partnerships will allow us to stay at the forefront of keeping children safe around water.” said Tim Cornelius, President and Owner of First Impression Security Doors.  “We are committed to safety and this is just one way we are getting involved to make a difference in the community.”
