First Impression Ironworks and the Midwest Food Bank

At First Impression Ironworks, giving back isn’t just something we do—it’s who we are. That’s why our team was back at it again this month, rolling up our sleeves to support our local community through Midwest Food Bank. Midwest Food Bank provides food to non-profits like pantries, shelters, and churches, helping them feed those in need through dedicated distribution efforts made possible by our incredible volunteers.

“Our hope is to help bridge the gap between prosperity and poverty in our community.” – David Kieser, Midwest Food Bank Founder & President

This wasn’t our first time volunteering with this incredible organization, and it certainly won’t be our last. Our employees stepped up to sort and pack plenty of food to help local families in need. It’s hard work, but it’s always worth it.

“There’s something really special about coming together as a team for a cause bigger than ourselves,” said Strat Kalamaris (First Impression’s VP of Operations). “Midwest Food Bank does amazing work, and I love knowing that even a few hours of our time can make a real impact.”

Mike Olson (First Impression’s Logistics Manager) shared, “Giving back to the community that supports us just feels right. Plus, it’s a great way to bond with coworkers outside of the office!”

We’re proud of our First Impression Ironworks family for continuing to make a difference, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to support Midwest Food Bank’s mission: to alleviate hunger and malnutrition while providing disaster relief, with a vision to serve those in need with excellence and compassion. A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered their time—you are what makes this company truly special!
