The long winter is over and with temperatures starting to climb again, the weather is just perfect for springtime entertaining.  Here are some tips and ideas to make your next spring party or luncheon a hit with your friends.

• Let the Fresh Air In.  It’s not summertime yet with the scorching heat and triple digit temperatures, so now is the perfect time to open up the doors and windows and let in some air.  Consider entertaining on your screened in porch or, if you don’t have one, just open up the doors and windows to catch those cool spring breezes.  Of course, you don’t want to give up security and safety for these comfortable winds.  So consider investing in security screen doors and windows.  These will allow you to open up the screen or window while still providing a level of security to keep out intruders.
• Let The Outdoors In.  Once flowers start to bloom, it is a great idea to bring them in to spruce up even the dreariest home.  Fresh cut flowers make great centerpieces and allow you to add some color and vitality to your house.
• Get the Grill Fired Up.  As the temperatures rise, no one wants to have a hot stuffy house from using the stove or oven.  So head outdoors and get the grill going.  Barbeques are a great way to bring family and friends together and they don’t have to be elaborate.  Sure you can pull out your family’s recipe for downhome ribs.  But just grilling chicken, hamburgers and hot dogs can make for a delightful spring gathering.
• Cool Off with Relaxing Beverages.  If you are going to have friends over, you not only need a bevy of foods to keep them happy, but you should also keep cold beverages readily available.  From lemonades to soda to iced tea, a cold drink can be the perfect respite from a warm spring day.  And, if you are so inclined, you can also keep adult beverages on hand as a cold beer or a margarita on the rocks can really be the perfect end to a day of entertaining.
