We’ve been in business a long time and as we reflect on the changing landscape of best practices, we have embraced social media in all its forms as a way to reach out to our customer base. One of the newest social media platforms to hit the market is Houzz and it’s one that seems to have been made for us.
So what it is? Well, according to Wikipedia:
“Houzz is a web site and online community about architecture, interior design and decorating, landscape design and home improvement.”
We think it’s even more than that. It’s like your favorite home magazine, Pinterest, Yelp and Facebook all in one tidy app. We love that it offers regional design ideas, connects you with local contractors and showcases some of the best across many businesses. There are also helpful articles, trending topics and many ways you can interact by asking questions, posting photos and sharing your ideas with other members.
If you haven’t checked out our new Houzz Page yet, you’re missing out on some great stuff! Our page features many images of recent projects, a question and answers section and reviews from satisfied customers. It also features our Ideabooks – a kind of pin board that people can add to, comment on and share with friends.
There are also over 100 photos that we have added to our page, showcasing some looks behind the scenes, our processes, before and after images and a lot more. We care about aesthetics as much as we do security, and our high quality images and attention to detail make that obvious.
Since its inception a little over four years ago, Houzz boasts a community of over 20 million users. Houzz even has an app which has been downloaded more than ten million times! There are over 300,000 designers and contractors on the site which means that homeowners can connect with the professional who is perfect for any home remodeling project you can imagine.
One of the other reasons we love Houzz is that it gives you inspiration even if you are not considering a remodel. Whether you are looking for budget friendly holiday decorating ideas, an amazing end table, or replacing all of the windows and doors on your home, Houzz is a great place to start. But don’t just take our word for it! Take a look, start a discussion, ask a question or browse some photos and see how much you get inspired!
